That's a really interesting question, and although I can't exactly answer it, I think it's definitely something that libraries should think about. I think that there's likely a trend towards putting librarians with traditional library degrees into library systems positions, rather than recruiting computer scientists from outside the library profession. There are probably numerous reasons for this but I think its important to think about whether the librarians that we put in charge of systems have the right training to be able to do everything that a systems librarian has to do.
